I attempted to create a work of high caliber, but I do believe I fell short… and then plumbed to a grisly death. Well, maybe it’s not that bad, but multiply aspects of the drawing look a little weird. Let’s just file this under “tablet practice” and not “masterpieces.”

Why, I think you're right.

My mind has been securely tethered to a tree somewhere in the depths of my skull. We wouldn't want it to wander....
:iconlokno:
No relation though, I assure you. It’s just something to add character.

Hah, glad to see you're starting to give that tablet a whirl :) Like I've said before, they're a pain in the butt to get used to, but after that, they're much fun! :3 Very cute drawing ya gots there sir. I really like how the rocks and the water look together.

Someone once asked me the difference between ignorance and apathy. I told them I don't know, and I don't care.
:iconlokno:
Why thank you. One of the things that helped a lot was realizing that it should be in "Pen Mode" and not "Mouse Mode." That sped things along.

You did a lot of things right here. The individual blades of grass being displaced by the body and tail and the tail displacing the water are the things that I think really sell the picture. I'd say that if this is practice, it's practice in a good direction, with attention to details being particularly important. I think that the texture of the grass in the background is a little weird and the movement lines of the water might be a little too well defined. Lighten them up a bit so that they're more of an afterthought than an actual texture on the water. The tree's pretty good too. Making a realistic tree is tough.
